2010 Detroit Auto Show- 2010 Santa Fe

Posted in Trucking News on January 15, 2010

Hyundai is known to deliver significantly improved vehicles, to keep up this trend they have introduced the updated edition of the mid size crossover 2010 Santa Fe at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show. Looking at the growing demand for crossover vehicles in the US Hyundai decided to update their edition to meet the demands of the customers.

The updated edition will sport hi tech features and a powerful engine. The entry level 2.7 liter 4 cylinder engine has been swapped with a new Theta II 2.4 liter engine which would produce 175 horsepower and 169 pounds feet of torque. The new engine generates less power than its predecessor but the light weight of the four cylinder engine when teamed with a six speed automatic transmission offers a similar acceleration. The six speed transmission assists in offering an improved fuel economy of 20 mpg city level and 28 mpg highway for front drive automatic models.

The optional 3.3 liter V6 engine has also been changed to a new 3.5b liter V6 engine which would deliver an impressive 276 horsepower. This engine would also assist in offering an improved fuel efficiency of 17mpg city level and 24 mpg highway ratings.

There are some minor exterior changes that have been performed to usher this new edition into the new decade. The front fascia features a new body colored grille with a third bar. The chrome border and new wheels enhances the overall look of this edition. The lower air intake has been modified to create a new asymmetric cutout for the fog lights.

The sides of this edition have also received a minor update like the rear end has been updated with new taillights.

The interior cabin has also been refreshed. The storage on the centre console has been shifted from the front of the shifter to the side of it.

The 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe will be equipped with features like heated mirrors, driver’s lumbar support, Bluetooth connectivity, ipod and USB connectivity and steering wheel controls on all models.

There is no confirmed information about the pricing of this edition. For pricing details keep tuned and we will be back in a jiffy.

What do you mean by heated mirrors? I don’t have much knowledge of all these but would love to know. Is it something which helps the car not to be covered by snow or something?
