The 2010 Ford F-350 priced at MSRP $26,595 – $43,805 is a utilitarian truck with excellent towing capabilities and used friendly features. Its unambiguous styling appeals for a wide market of buyers. The Ford F-350 keeps up to its legendary name of “top selling truck” for over three decades. This edition competes with robust machines like Dodge Ram 3500 and Chevrolet Silverado 3500.

What’s on offer?

The 2010 Ford F-350 has many features shuffled in between the trims. The Cabela package is now available as a trim and replaces the FX4 model while the Sync is now available as a standard feature on all except the base XL edition. The axle ratios have been revised to offer better fuel economy. The new Harley Davidson package is now available on diesel models. The premium Lariat and Cabela trims as well as XL and XLT are teamed with five speed automatic transmission.

The 2010 Ford F-350 has well designed interiors that work well for the work trucks. The base XL and XLT trims are crafted with good quality material while the premium trims used leather and wood grain finish that adds a more upscale look.

The controls and gauges are straightforward and placed on the centre console which is easy to use and with in easy reach of the driver. The centre console has been intelligently designed to accommodate a laptop and hanging files. The crew cab features folding rear seats which flip out the utility tray that keeps the load floor flat.

Features of 2010 Ford F-350

The 2010 Ford F-350 is available in four trims Base XL, mid level XLT, Cabela and Premium Lariat. The XL and XLT edition are available in regular cabs while the Cabela trim is available as a crew cab.

The Base XL level is equipped with 17 inch wheels, vinyl upholstery, air-conditioning, ; AM/FM radio and manual telescoping trailer tow mirrors.

The XLT edition includes additional features keyless entry, chrome wheels, power and heated trailer tow mirrors, full power accessories, integrated trailer brake control, cruise control, cloth upholstery, privacy glass, CD player and an auxiliary audio jack.

The Cabela trim replaces the FX4 model and is equipped with similar features. It sports all the XLT features with an addition of upgraded off road hardware like Skid plates, heavy duty  Rancho shock absorbers, a limited slip rear axle and a manual shift transfer case. It also includes dark gray exterior trim, metallic interior trim, running board, fog lights, a bed mat, keyless entry, power front bucket seat, power telescoping and folding mirrors, and a leather wrapped steering wheels with audio controls and satellite radio.

The luxurious Lariat edition features 18 inch alloy wheels, power sliding windows, dual power and heated front seats, power telescoping and folding mirrors, dual zone automatic climate control  leather upholstery, wood grain interior trim, a centre console, rear parking sensors, and the Sync multimedia voice control system.

There are many optional features which are available which can be added to your machine. The new Harley Davidson theme which is available on crew cab lays its focus on appearance and accommodation and includes 22inch wheels. For those who choose an upscale appearance can select the King ranch package which provides two tone paints, leather upholstery and western saddle inspired trim.

Those who are buying a truck for the work oriented purpose can add in dash computer with internet access, a midbox storage system and a tool link system which allows the driver to keep a tab on tools stored in the trucks box via radio frequency tracking.

2010 Ford F-350 Powetrain

The 2010 Ford F-350 is powered by standard 5.4 liter gasoline V8 engine which produces 300 hp and 365 pounds feet of torque with an option of 6.8 liter V10 engine which generates 362 horsepower and 457 pounds feet of torque.  All those with higher towing needs can choose the 6.4 liter Power Stroke turbo diesel V8 engine which produces 350 horsepower and 650 pounds feet of torque.

Buyers can select from either 2WD or 4WD and from six speed manual or five speed automatic transmission.

When fully equipped this super duty truck can tow up to 15,000 pounds and handle 5,700 pound payload.

2010 Ford F-350 Safety

The 2010 Ford F350 is equipped with antilock four wheel disc brakes. Power adjustable pedals and rear parking sensors are available as optional features on models with automatic transmission.

This edition does not feature side airbags or side curtain airbags.

Conclusion

The 2010 Ford F-350 is a top selling super duty truck with various advantages such as smooth ride and handling, features trailer brake control and smooth shifting automatic transmission. The main disadvantages that were noted are lacks safety airbags, and V8 engine not very strong in comparison to others.
