Volkswagen Amarok – The ‘Wolf’ on The Roads

Volkswagen proclaimed that the production version of their exclusive pick-up truck named ‘Amarok’ will be launched in early 2010 in South America and will be available in Europe by next summer. ‘Amarok’ is the name driven from Inuit language and it means ‘Wolf’ in it. Wolf actually is referred as the king of wilds by the Eskimos and is associated with endurance, power, sturdiness, and dominance. So with the name it becomes apparent what to expect from the new Volkswagen Amarok when it hits the market.
With its name personifying its class and standards the Volkswagen Amarok initially will be launched in four-door double cab trim and later there will be a single cab model added in his line. Spy Shots: Next gen Chevrolet Colorado

There is news in the automotive market that Chevy is getting ready with an upgraded Colorado edition which will be launched very soon. The on lookers have witnessed the test mule on the streets at various occasions.
The spy photographers have also managed to capture images of the next generation Chevrolet Colorado pick up truck. This engineering mule was well camouflaged to hide its identity however it was very easy to identify this test mule. The next gen Chevy edition looks quite similar to the present Colorado edition.
It is expected that the main difference between the present edition and the next gen edition is that the new edition will sport a diesel engine. Toyota RAV4 facelift to debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show

Toyota has gone through a rough patch and is facing tough times but that has not shattered them from its future product plans. Toyota plans to debut the updated Toyota RAV4 at the upcoming 2010 Geneva Motor Show.
It is known that Toyota would not add many new features to this edition however some important fresh tech features could be added to this edition. The new RAV4 may offer an improved interior with new color schemes which complements the exterior colors.
The images that have been floated depict that the new edition is a Diesel Clean Advanced Technology edition. This edition is not very popular in the US. Toyota plans to debut this edition at Geneva and it is possible that the US buyers would see slight changes when this edition adorns the showroom windows in the US.

2010 Chicago Motor Show showcases new touch screen rear seat entertainment system

The 2010 Chicago Motor Show has witnessed many new concepts and models that will be available in the showrooms very soon. Volvo has also introduced a new touch screen rear seat entertainment system in XC70 SUV. The company plans to gauge reaction at the Chicago Auto Show and would accordingly decide to introduce it on other models.
Volvo plans to introduce the RSEi-500 which would raise the benchmark for entertainment inside the cabin. This multimedia RSE system would allow customers to enjoy mobile TV and watch videos, surf the internet from the backseat of XC70 SUV. It is expected that this high tech features would appeal to most buyers and all tech friendly people.

2011 Nissan Juke to be unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show

Auto makers are getting ready for the upcoming 2010 Geneva Auto Show and to grace the occasion Nissan is ready to unveil its new crossover ‘Nissan Juke’ while BMW will launch its ‘Mini Countryman’.
The new Nissan edition is expected to be 159.8 x 70.1 x 61.8 inches long with cues picked up from the Nissan Rogue. From the images that have been floated across the web its exterior silhouette looks impressive with huge headlamps, and wild wheel arch blisters. Overall it has a rally car like look.
It is expected that the new Nissan Juke will be powered by 1.6 liter turbo engine which will generate 188 horsepower. It will be teamed with an optional All Wheel drive system. This edition will feature side to side torque vectoring similar to the BMW X6M and the new gen Porsche 911 turbo.

The pre production models of 2011 Ford super duty truck offered for a test drive

Ford has decided to give commercial business around the country pre production models of their new edition 2011 Ford Super Duty on a test drive before this edition is actually launched in the market. This is the first time that such a field work evaluation program has been organized by any company. The company plans to display the results this week on www.fordvehicles.com/2011 super duty field work.
These muscular vehicles are tested on extreme conditions. The select customers who test drive the 2011 Super Duty F-250, F-350, F450 and F550 made them work in the sub zero wintry conditions of Wyoming, humid swamps of Florida, and dry areas of Texas construction sites and ranches.
The evaluation trucks are powered by the new 6.7 liter Power Stroke V8Turbocharged Diesel engine and mated to the 6R140 heavy duty TorqShift six speed automatic transmissions.

Nissan to unveil its NV2500 at the NTEA’s 2010 Work Truck Show

Nissan unveiled its NV2500 full size commercial van concept at the 2009 National Truck Equipment Association’s Work Truck Show. Nissan is now ready to debut the new full size commercial van edition at the 2010 National Truck Equipment Association’s Work Truck Show in St, Louis.
This Nissan van is built on the lines of current Nissan Titan half ton pick up truck edition. The Nissan van frame will feature modified version of the Titan edition and similar chassis to offer a strong performance and a comfortable ride.
Larry Dominique, vice president of advanced product planning and strategy at Nissan North America announced that the new van edition would feature an impressive silhouette which is different from the current editions. 75th Anniversary Diamond edition Chevrolet Suburban debuts at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show

The Chevrolet Suburban, considered as an original SUV rooting back to the 1930’s is still popular in the automotive market. Chevy is proud of this superb edition and has proudly created a Diamond edition to commemorate its 75th Anniversary.
The 75th edition has made its debut at the Chicago Auto Show with a special trim package. This edition will be limited to 2,750 units only. Each unit will be produced in the LTZ trim with a host of features included in it. The 75th edition would include features such as remote start, rear view camera, parking assist, navigation system with integrated XM Radio and Nav Traffic. It would also offer option to the buyers such as mobile Wi Fi, blind spot warning system and rear seat entertainment system. This edition will offer option of two wheel drive or four wheel drive system.
