It has been proved across the globe that correct breathing habits can reinforce a healthy and long life. There are people who are looking at learning various techniques of breathing to remain fit and healthy. This formula proves true for automobiles also.
GMC has taken this rule into consideration and announced that all 2010 Chevy V8 powered trucks will sport variable valve timing. This feature enables continuous control of valve opening and closing which will in turn enable the engine to breathe efficiently and assist in offering better fuel economy and fewer emissions.
The variable valve timing will be available in 4.8 liter 5.3 liter 6.0liter and 6.2 liter V8 engine and it will be a simple and reliable device which will be attached to the end of the camshaft called a cam phaser. It will control the positions with the help of a sensor and the engine control module.
When the 5.3 liter V8 engine and ACF is teamed with variable valve timing it will assist in delivering efficient fuel economy in the Chevy Silverado or 2010 GMC Sierra edition.
