He added that the company had completed all testing procedure and ensured that the Indian built pick up truck is designed in accordance to the US standards. They expect to submit the certification paperwork for approval from the Government in January and expect to receive approval in a month’s time.
Mahindra has plans to launch the Mahindra TR series pick up trucks in two cab configurations. It will be available in a two door regular cab and four door crew cab body style. The TR20 as well as the TR40 will be equipped with a modified version of Mahindra’s mHawk 2.2 liter inline four cylinder diesel engine. This burly engine is specifically designed to meet the requirements of the US emissions regulations.
This engine will offer an impressive fuel economy of 30 mpg and when fully equipped will offer a maximum towing capacity of 1.3 tons.
It is expected that the Mahindra TR20 and Tr40 will be tagged at a base price of $22,000.

Such a cheap Truck! Will this be worth buying?
I don’t think this truck might have any great features. It won’t be able to carry heavy work load. looks small in the pic as well.
Which is this comapny? never heard of it? Is this powerful? There are no specifications as well.
For the 1st time I’m hearing that a car launch has been pre planned! that also from Aug to Feb. This is a big gap i rckon for the automobile.
I don’t agree with the above comments. I think this truck will be worth buying. According to its price, this has to be a strong contender!
Same ehere, so what if the plan is preponed. This can also be the advantage and the engineers efforts to complete the work before time! I will wait for this edition.
Mahindra hawk was a fantastic SUV and if this has to be advanced than hawk, I can imagine what its going to be.
