Auto makers are getting ready for the upcoming 2010 Geneva Auto Show and to grace the occasion Nissan is ready to unveil its new crossover ‘Nissan Juke’ while BMW will launch its ‘Mini Countryman’. The new Nissan edition is expected to be 159.8 x 70.1 x 61.8 inches long with cues picked up from the Nissan Rogue. From the images that have been floated across the web its exterior silhouette looks impressive with huge headlamps, and wild wheel arch blisters. Overall it has a rally car like look. Ford has decided to give commercial business around the country pre production models of their new edition 2011 Ford Super Duty on a test drive before this edition is actually launched in the market. This is the first time that such a field work evaluation program has been organized by any company. The company plans to display the results this week on www.fordvehicles.com/2011 super duty field work. These muscular vehicles are tested on extreme conditions. The select customers who test drive the 2011 Super Duty F-250, F-350, F450 and F550 made them work in the sub zero wintry conditions of Wyoming, humid swamps of Florida, and dry areas of Texas construction sites and ranches. The evaluation trucks are powered by the new 6.7 liter Power Stroke V8Turbocharged Diesel engine and mated to the 6R140 heavy duty TorqShift six speed automatic transmissions. Ford  [...] 

Nissan unveiled its NV2500 full size commercial van concept at the 2009 National Truck Equipment Association’s Work Truck Show. Nissan is now ready to debut the new full size commercial van edition at the 2010 National Truck Equipment Association’s Work Truck Show in St, Louis. This Nissan van is built on the lines of current Nissan Titan half ton pick up truck edition. The Nissan van frame will feature modified version of the Titan edition and similar chassis to offer a strong performance and a comfortable ride. Larry Dominique, vice president of advanced product planning and strategy at Nissan North America announced that the new van edition would feature an impressive silhouette which is different from the current editions. The Chevrolet Suburban, considered as an original SUV rooting back to the 1930’s is still popular in the automotive market. Chevy is proud of this superb edition and has proudly created a Diamond edition to commemorate its 75th Anniversary. The 75th edition has made its debut at the Chicago Auto Show with a special trim package. This edition will be limited to 2,750 units only. Each unit will be produced in the LTZ trim with a host of features included in it. The Chicago Auto Show has always witness debuts from Ford. The 2009 Chicago Auto Show launched its new range of commercial van called as the Ford Transit Connect. The 2010 Chicago Auto Show has already adorned the updated new technology versatile van the Ford Transit Connect Electric and  Ford Transit Connect Taxi . The Transit Connect Electric This edition is Fords first battery electric produced vehicle. It will be powered by a 280 Kwh battery pack which will be placed beneath the cargo floor and will be propelled by a 55kW AC motor. It is expected that this fully charged battery would provide an approximate of 80 miles of range. The system has been well engineered that it makes it difficult to distinguish between the electric connect from the gas powered engine. Looking at the tough competition offered by Ford and other brands, General Motors decided to update their existing line of trucks. The update vehicles generally feature a new impressive body style, improved powertrain and better chassis to offer improved performance. But in heavy duty vehicles there are not many buyers who pay emphasis on the exterior look of the vehicle. Keeping this thought in mind General Motors have decided to update their 2011 Silverado with out making many changes on the exterior body. The 2011 Chevy Silverado features similar looks like its earlier edition except that they have added chrome front bumpers, 17 inch wheels and a revised hood with a Duramax hood badge. General Motors has announced at the national Bio diesel conference that their new edition diesel truck will feature B20 biodiesel capability. The B20 fuel offers a combination of 20 % bio diesel and 80% conventional diesel. This combination helps in lowering carbon dioxide emissions and reduces the dependence on petroleum. General Motors has revised their 6.6 liter turbo diesel engine to feature B20 capability. This new engine will also be designed to meet the new emission standards laid down by the government. The new Duramax will power the updated GMC Sierra heavy duty pick ups, 2011 Chevy Silverado, Chevrolet express and GMC Savana full size vans.
