Powertrain

The Silverado offers option of 6.0 liter V8 engine which generates 367 ho and 375 pound feet of torque or 6.2 liter V8 engine which generates 403 horse power and 417 pound feet of torque.

Four speed automatic transmission is standard on all editions. It offers a towing capacity of 10,700 pounds. GM offers a choice to the buyers to select from rear wheel drive or four wheel drive.

The 2009 Chevrolet Silverado XFE offers fuel economy of 15 mpg city levels and 21 mpg high ways which is 1 mpg better than the non XFE editions.

Safety
