Introduction

In earlier days pick up trucks were used only for transportation purpose but the modern trucks are conventional and offer comfortable ride along with its trailering capabilities. The 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD priced at $26,595 – $43,105 perfectly fits the bill. This edition is a more robust version of GM’s full size pick up truck platform.

What’s on offer?

The 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD offers light changes to this edition. This version offers noticeable changes in the consumer electronics. Bluetooth, XM Satellite Radio has been enhanced with a Nav Traffic feature, navigation system and rear view camera is now added to the options list.

Silhouette

The 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD has a body styled specifically designed for heavy duty model. The body is well styled with headlamps and hood that gives an impressive look. The dual port grille is wider and taller than the 1500 models. The front fenders mounted in this model are a brawnier in comparison to others. The chrome bumpers intensify the beauty of this vehicle.

This Chevy model is available in three body styles regular cab, extended cab, and crew cab. Regular cab features long bed while the other offerings have standard or long bed.

Inside the cabin

The 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD offers options of two interior designs depending upon the trim level.  The designers at GM have worked hard to improve their interiors and it has paid off well. The materials which are used inside the cabin are softer, surfaces are flush and gaps are tighter inside the cabin. The LTZ edition is designed to cater to the demands of luxury buyers with leather seating and standard Bose sound system. Overall the interiors designs are quite straight forward and with easy to reach controls. We found that the dual zone climate controls are very small which makes it difficult to operate with gloves. The fronts as well as the rear seats are very comfortable and spacious.

We felt that a captain’s chair at the rear of the crew cab would have been appreciated. However other than this omission they have everything else on their list.
