The 2010 Suzuki Equator is a compact truck engineered with a joint venture of Suzuki and Nissan. Suzuki has put in styling inputs whereas hardware features are picked up from Nissan Frontier.  It is ideal for those buyers who are looking at a basic work truck with a long warranty.

There are no significant changes for the 2010 edition.

Silhouette

The 2010 Suzuki Equator offers a distinctive and practical styling. The front fascia has a square shaped look with distinct trapezoidal grille and unique front fenders. The bumpers and tailgate enhance the exterior look of this edition.  A prominent Suzuki badge on the grille emits a novel look to this edition.

The 2010 Equator is available in two body configurations extended cab and crew cab. The extended cab has a 6 foot long cargo bed while the crew cab sports an option of 5 foot or 6 foot bed.

Inside the cabin

The 2010 Suzuki Equator features very practical interiors with seating for four passenger in the extended cab and five passengers in the crew cab. The front row seats are supportive and comfortable while the rear row seats are cramped and can comfortably seat kids.

The interiors are very spacious but very luxurious. There is ample of storage space with innovative and practical storage features under the rear seats.

The work trim includes basic features such as 15 inch standard wheels and bucket seats with a console.

The premium comfort trim adds 16 inch alloy wheel, full power accessories, air conditioning, upgraded cloth upholstery, sliding rear window, a tilt steering wheel and four speaker stereo with CD player.

The RMZ trim features 16 inch alloy wheel with off road oriented tires, chrome door handles, metallic cabin accents, Bilstein shocks, skid plates, electric locking rear differential and skid plates.

The RMZ-4 Sports edition additionally includes upgraded audio system, Bluetooth, sunroof, and Hill descent and hold control.

2010 Suzuki Equator Powertrain

The 2010 Suzuki Equator is powered by 2.4 liter four cylinder engine which produces 152 hp and 171 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with five manual transmission and offers an option of five speed automatic transmission.   This brawny edition offers a fuel economy of 19/23/21 mpg

The crew cab is powered by 4.0 liter V6 engine which generates 261 hp and 281 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with five speed automatic transmission only and offers a fuel economy of 15/19 /16 mpg

When fully equipped this edition offers a towing capacity of 6,300 pounds.

The 2010 Suzuki equator features front side airbags, full length side curtain airbags, and antilock brakes.

During the various tests conducted to check the efficiency of this edition it scored four stars for driver and passenger protection in frontal crash tests while the crew cab earned four stars for driver protection and five stars for passenger protection in frontal crash test.
