Spy Shots: 2011 GMC Sierra Denali Heavy Duty Truck
Posted in Trucking News on November 21, 2009
Denali has always been introduced as a luxury light duty pick up truck which is powered by a 6.2 liter V8 engine. GMC had spoken at the SEMA 2007 about introducing the diesel powered Heavy Duty Denali Concept. The officials at GM had confirmed that they have plans to build a vehicle which would compete with the famed Ford King Ranch Super Duty.
There were prototypes being tested on the streets and from the spy shots that we have seen it looks like GM is ready to make its concept into a reality.
The spy shots reveal that this beauty would feature a unique four bar chrome perforated grille, unlike the other Sierra trucks which feature three bar grille. It is expected that this edition would also spot the Denali hallmark chrome trim door handles and wheels. At a closer look, the bell of a large two-piece venturi tailpipe was seen which indicates that this new edition would be equipped with the next gen 6.6 liter “LML” Duramax V8 under its hood.
It is anticipated from the images that this edition would host a new reverse-power-dome styling with prominent center mounted louvers.
Stay tuned for more information on the Denali HD and we will get first hand information about the same.
