Upgrades for 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Pickup

The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is one of the most prominent pickup from Chevy and ever since they have been introduced in the market, they haven’t received any significant upgrades and have been the same Silverado 1500 pickup trucks. The same continued for the 2010 model year as well.  But even though there isn’t any significant improvisation or upgrade in 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickups, but still Chevy has tweaked certain features for the truck and has turned some of the optional features from the older versions into standard features.

2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Pickup Truck’s Upgrades

• The 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 equipped with 4.8L, 5.3L and 6.2L engines now have the E85 FlexFuel capability.
• The 2010 Silverado 1500 with 4.8L and 5.3L engines now have changeable valve timing. This feature enhances the fuel efficiency and performance for the pickup.
• The Extended and Regular Cab trucks powered by 5.3L V8 engines are mated with 6 speed automatic transmission.
• The 2010 Chevrolet Silverado with 5.3L V8 engine will now have fuel saver mode and 3.08 axle ratios as standard option.
• All the 2010 Silverado trucks will have seat-mounted and side curtain air bags.
• Except for the base models for 2010 Chevrolet Silverado, all the other models will have USB connectivity on all the radios and the audio files stored can be played through the music system.
• There has been significant change in the interior door trim for 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LS.
• All the new models will have a rearview camera.
• Another optional feature that has been made standard in 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is the StabiliTrak electronic control system.
• The 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup will be available in two all new exterior colors of Sheer Silver Metallic and Taupe Gray Metallic.

2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Regular Cab Pickup

The regular Silverado cab truck comes with either a usual 6 ft. 6 in. or extended 8 ft box in two wheel choices of 2WD or 4WD.

Regular Cab Engine Options:

• A 4.3L V6 engine churning maximum power of 195hp and maximum Torque of 260 lb-ft.
• A 4.8L V8 engine churning maximum power of 302hp and maximum Torque of 305 lb-ft.
• A 5.3L V8 engine churning maximum power of 315 hp and maximum Torque of 335 lb-ft torque for gas and maximum power of 326hp and maximum Torque of 345 lb-ft torque for E85.

2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Extended Cab Pickup

The 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Extended Pickup also comes with either the standard 6 ft. 6 in. or extended 8 ft box in two wheel options of a 2WD or 4WD.

Extended Cab Engine Options:

• A 4.3L V6 engine churning maximum power of 195hp and maximum Torque of 260 lb-ft.
• A 4.8L V8 engine churning maximum power of 302hp and maximum Torque of 305 lb-ft.
• A 5.3L V8 engine churning maximum power of 315 hp and maximum Torque of 335 lb-ft for gas and maximum power of 326hp and maximum Torque of 345 lb-ft torque for E85.
